Company​

A company you could call Workspace, Organization or Account too. In this, you can invite users to work with each other.

User​

A user is someone who has access to one or more companies.

Users can have different roles where the API will provide numbers for:

  • owner: 0
  • admin: 10
  • manager: 15
  • user: 20
  • guest: 25

Group​

A list of users. Those are used primarily for the permission system and for mentioning.

There are some system groups too, which you can't edit or delete. These are users grouped by role.

Document​

A document is an internal name for a Memo. You think of it as an information entity with a mandatory attachment that can come in the form of a file or text.

Regarding file documents, we support images, pdfs, word, .msg/.eml files, and videos. All other files can still be uploaded but will there is no further processing happening.

Text documents are markdown based for their simplicity to use. Markdown Features like tables and inline images are not supported.

Comment​

A comment is a note from a user on a document. Via this, users can mention each other, which then get notified.

Folder​

A Folder is a collection of documents and other folders. It can hold some extra information, e.g., project address, contacts, and description. It can also have labels, which will be added to documents automatically.

You can set permissions on folders, limiting who has access to see its content.

Label​

Labels which you could call Tags too are a way to group documents across folders. Those give users, e.g., the possibility to search for images of damages in the last seven days.

WorkflowItem​

These are naming-wise more a relict and could be nowadays misleading. But these are sections within the company that is separated. Currently, the only three ones are the archive, the Paper bin and the folder templates. You will only really encounter this name if you intend to move items out of the archive or paper bin to the standard section again.
